These trailers are designed and built to relevant Australian Standards and are fitted with compliance plates to enable registration in all States & Territories of Australia as a Dangerous Goods Vehicle for the transport of Class 3 Flammable Liquids (JET-A1, AvGas, ULP/gasoline) on public roads.NOTE: some trailer manufacturers advise that their product is suitable for "aviation fuels" by substituting a stainless inner tank instead of the standard mild steel - this may make them suitable from a material view and for use on private property but does not enable them to be registered as a Dangerous Goods vehicle or for use on public roads. To enable registration, each vehicle is fitted with a plate marked with the DG Approval number as well as the details of the issuing Authority.
Please be aware that it is your responsibility to arrange this registration with the relevant authority in your State or Territory.
Please note that there other requirements that need to be complied with, that are separate from the trailer - these include (among others) that the driver have a current Dangerous Goods Licence, that the towing vehicle comply with certain provisions of AS2809 1 & 2, that the required safety equipment is carried within the cab of the towing vehicle.
This is not an exhaustive list and potential users need to ensure that systems, vehicle and driver are aware of all requirements prior to use. The course undertaken to obtain a Dangerous Goods drivers licence will provide a full knowledge and understading of these requirements
