Australian Fuelling Systems & Equipment

design and manufactures custom-built vehicles for on-site servicing of plant & equipment. With a range of truck and trailer based systems, most applications can be accommodated, including vehicles with refuelling facilities, chassis grease, lube oils, waste oil collection, coolant, water as well as service requirements like toolboxes, cranes, work lights, benches etc. We use most major quality brands of lubrication equipment, chosen for cost effectiveness for each application These include Graco, Lincoln, Macnaught, and many others .Facilities can include:

Refuelling - (see separate section on tankers.)

  • Tank capacities made to suit requirements with a wide range of dispensing systems available. Tanks can be manufactured with top filling, bottom filled with overfill protection systems or both. Tanks are usually fitted P&V vents equipped with rollover protection valves (shuts off if tank is inverted)
  • All tank-top fittings & equipment are contained within a protective rollover coaming.
  • Tanks are supplied with a calibrated dipstick made from 20x20x3mm black anodised aluminium. These are fitted with a replaceable wear block which ensures dipstick accuracy when replaced after wear occurs.
  • Tanks are fitted to the vehicle with spring-loaded mounting brackets - ensuring long tank life.

Fuelling Pumps

  • Can be hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, engine or manually driven with standard top fill nozzles or quick-fill type.
  • Pump system can include flowmeters with accuracy required with options for ticket printer, digital or mechanical displays and pulse output suitable for data supply to onboard fuel management systems.
  • Pump systems can be built with NMI approval requirements for reselling of fuels.
  • Pumps can be configured to self-load from storage onto vehicle, with high flow options which bypass the hose reel for short distance deliveries or with multiple outlets.
  • Single delivery hoses can be fitted with drybreak couplings to allow spill-free changeover of nozzle types – ie standard top fill to Wiggins type quick fill nozzles so that cost of equipment for refuelling plant with both types is reduced.
  • Hose reels can be spring rewind, hydraulic or pneumatic rewind or manual geared-assist rewind.
Management Systems

Vehicles can be fitted with management system to record & report on all dispensed fluids, oils as well as fuel. These systems record details of each delivery including fluid type, amount, vehicle or plant identification, date & time and operator for complete tracking of all fuel & oils used.

Oils - engine, hydraulic or gear oils
Pneumatic or hydraulically powered pumps to suit flow requirements
Hose reels with spring, pneumatic or hydraulic rewind. Dispensing valves with or without meters. We build custom multi-compartment tanks configured & sized to suit the vehicle and application. Tanks can be fitted with remote, selective filling systems, sight gauges, filtered vents, dipsticks, overfill prevention systems.

Greasing equipment
Pumped from custom bulk tanks, 180kg or 20kg drums
Pumps with features & ratios to suit viscosity/type of grease used
Hose reels with various rewind mechanisms & hose lengths
Grease control valves.

Air compressors
Can be hydraulically or engine driven
Capacities to suit requirements – usually to drive onboard pumps and for various service duties such as air-driven tools, tyre inflation, blowdown etc.

Coolant
Usually dispensed from stainless steel tank
Pumps with flow rates to suit application
Hose reel, hose & delivery control valve

Water
Usually a shared compartment with the stainless steel coolant tank
Compatible pump & delivery system as required.

Waste Oil
We build waste oil recovery and delivery systems which include :

  • Reversible flows to both collect and unload from onboard storage tank
  • Supplied with suitable suction spear to collect from drain container
  • All hose connections to use system are fitted with nil-spill drybreak couplings
  • Can be used from on vehicle with short suction hose or up to 12 metres from the vehicle by taking the pump to the oil source & connecting to hose reel to pump back to onboard tank.
  • Air operated double diaphragm pumps utilized for waste oil transfer, built into aluminium carry frame.
  • Fitted with reversing valves to pump from onboard tank into bulk storage tank
  • Custom built drainage vessels for used filters – connected to pump into onboard tank

Work lights
Adjustable with location & quantity to suit

Handwash Station

Tool & Equipment storage boxes/cabinets
Custom to suit each vehicle

Workspaces
Vehicles can be fitted (space permitting) with drop-down or fixed work benches, vices & other equipment

Cranes
Capacity, reach & other specifications to suit can be installed

Trays
Can be built in front of or at rear of service body with safe access, handrails, tie rails as required.

Things we need to know to quote
If you would like a quotation on a service vehicle for your business, following is some guidance on what you need to know:

  • General overview of what duties and terrain in which the vehicle is to work
  • Fluids - how many and quantity for each. These include diesel (or other fuels), oils and the different grades, coolant, water, grease(s) and any other special requirements
  • Fuel pump system - are you going to resell fuel to others, what flow rates required, filtration, meter accuracy if not reselling, nozzles type (std top fill of Wiggins "quick-fill" type), hose length, reel rewind type, preferred power option for pump.
  • Refilling of tanks - how is this to be done, whether you want fill from ground level or access to each tank top. It is particularly important with bulk refilling of the diesel to know method as well as where you will be refilling, fuel depots usually require the vehicle to comply with specific standards to allow entry.
  • Reach - how long you require the delivery hoses to be.
  • Flows - delivery flow required for each fluid in litres per minute
  • Metered valves - whether you want to precisely measure each fluid as it is dispensed
  • Worklights - if required, how many & type
  • Crane - what capabilities required as well as what tray space required for what you are lifting
  • Storage - what requirements for tools, special equipment, parts, spares etc
