Fuel Trailers

Australian Fuelling Systems & Equipment

Design & manufactures a wide range of mobile fuelling & liquid transport solutions. These vehicles are proudly built in Tamworth, NSW, Australia, utilising mostly Australian made components.

Our design includes the low profile elliptical tanks which contributes greatly to stability at highway speeds as well as making filling and dipping safer easier to accomplish.
Our fuel trailers provide a safe & economical means of delivering both diesel and flammable liquids (ULP, Avgas, Jet-A1) directly to the point of use, so that plant and equipment can be kept on the go with minimal downtime.

Approved trailers for transport of Dangerous Goods (Flammable Liquids)
The trailers suitable for Class 3 Flammable Liquids are built to comply with AS2809 1 & 2 - 2008 Road tank vehicles for Dangerous Goods and are available in in 1000 litre, 1500 litre and 2000 litre capacities. These vehicles encompass design features not required in our standard diesel tanks. See the aviation fuelling section for more details.

1000 Litre Registerable Trailer

3500 litre registerable trailer
Shown opposite is a 3500 litre diesel trailer equipped with an engine-powered dispenser set with filter & flowmeter. Delivery rates for these systems are typically around the 150 litre per minute mark. These vehicles are designed & equipped to be registered with a gross vehicle mass of just below 4500 kgs.

Larger capacity trailers

are usually built as “dog” type vehicles with addflexibilty to add other facilities such as drum racks, compressor, larger toolboxes etc. These vehicles, if required to be registerable, are usually fitted with air brake systems

Pumping systems for trailers
Trailers can be fitted with various types of pumping systems to suit most application & flow rate requirements. These range from basic manual pumps, 12 or 24v DC units up to petrol or diesel engine-powered systems for higher flows. Other equipment such filters and flowmeters can also be included. Hose length, type and size to suit the pressure & required flow rates as well as the nozzle type can be varied. Provision of Wiggins-type quick-fill nozzles and standard top-fill nozzles can be fitted with drybreak systems to snap on & off as required for top or bottom fuelling as required. This eliminates multiple hoses & hose reels

Self-bunded dual walled trailers.
Our trailers are built to conform as much as possible with AS1940 which is the standard applicable to static tanks. Some of the requirements cannot be included because of the fluid movement - for example we cannot fit float based overfill protection valves or level indicators.
Please see the self-bunded trailer section and brochure with details of these trailers. Our standard range includes a 1000 litre version as well as a 2000 litre unit. Other larger units are available on request.

Tri-compartment transformer oil trailers
Our basic trailers can be built and equipped for many different applications & fluids. We have built many with specific modifications for transporting transformer oil - with multiple compartments ensuring balanced load on delivery journey and also returning with oil that requires filtering for re-use. These vehicles are fitted with 240v ac bi-directional and variable speed pumps for precise transfer of the oil.
